During the 2007 proxy season, shareholders gave greater support to proposals seeking advisory votes on executive pay, majority voting in director elections, and the right to call special meetings. "Clawback" and golden parachute resolutions also fared better this year, as did new resolutions seeking reforms in stock option practices and how companies calculate supplemental retirement benefits.
